Jackie Mayle Obituary
Jackie Sue Mayle, a resident of Philippi, WV, died Saturday morning, October 21, 2023, in Mansfield Place in Philippi, WV following an extended illness. She was 76 years old.
She was born in Philippi on May 25, 1947, a daughter to the late Clyde Wesley Barnett and Mary Mageline (Mayle) Barnett. On November 27, 1971, she was united in marriage to Franklin M. Mayle who proceeded her death in February 2008.
Jackie Sue leaves behind, one daughter; Julie Stonebraker, and husband Tommy, Philippi, WV; granddaughter; Amber Stonebraker, Philippi/Fairmont, WV; one brother; Donald Barnett, and wife Florence of Canton, OH; sister-in-law; Toni Barnett, Philippi, WV; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Barnett, and one sister, Mary Ann Mayle.
Jackie Sue was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1966. She was a homemaker, loved taking care of flowers, enjoyed chatting with family and friends on the telephone, and loved to watch the hummingbirds fly in to get nectar. She also enjoyed collecting bobble heads for every season. She is going to be missed by all those who knew her.
The family will receive friends at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi from 3 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, and again on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 9 am until 12 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 pm from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery, Moatsville, WV. The Kittle Family Funeral Home in Philippi is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
