Keira Swiger Obituary

Keira Lasua Swiger, who left us on December 19, 2025, in Ivydale, West Virginia. Born May 1, 1990, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Keira graced this world with her presence for 35 beautiful years. She was a cherished daughter to her parents, Randy Swiger and Tamila (Smith) Swiger, who survive her and will always hold her memory close to their hearts.

Keira's life, though tragically cut short, will be remembered for the love she brought to her family and friends.

Keira leaves behind her brother; Aaron Woods, sisters; Tiona Owens, Ashley Poling, and husband, Eric, and Journey Swiger all of Philippi, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death was maternal grandparents; Brad and Alice Smith, and paternal grandparents; Ray and Betty Swiger.

She was a Pentecostal by faith, when she attended church, she loved to sing Holding up the Ladder, she attended Barbour County Schools and helped those out who were in need. Keira enjoyed sports and loved to play basketball. Keira's life, though marked by challenges, reflected a spirit that embraced the journey of individuality and resilience. She navigated her path with grace, inspiring those around her in ways that words may never fully capture. Keira's legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and friends who experienced the warmth of her spirit and the light she brought into everyday life. Family and friends may gather at The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11 am until 4 pm the funeral hour, Minister Robert Lantz and the Rev. Randy Swiger will be the celebrants. The casket will be closed, and following the services Keira's remains will be cremated. THE FAMILY HAS ASKED THAT FLOWERS BE OMITED AND TO OFFSET THE COST OF HER FUNERAL EXPENSES THAT DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED HERE ONLINE OR TO THE FUNERAL HOME ADDRESS.
