Loretta Jean Pancoast Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Loretta Jean Pancoast of Philippi, West Virginia. Loretta, born on October 12, 1938, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James John and Edna Loretta Hurley (Wilbraham); and her husband Edward Holmes Pancoast Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Hyde (Jason), Edward Holmes Pancoast Jr. (Liane), James Pancoast and Leonard Pancoast (Stacy); her grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy), Valerie (Jeremy), Stephanie (Lenson), Naomi, Danielle, James, Dedria (Alex), Elsie and Ethyn; and her great grandchildren, Mitchell, Sean, Emma, Jason, Westley, Jackson, Hadley and Benjamin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (220 N Walnut St, Philippi, WV 26416). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
