Nathan Croston Obituary
Nathan Brian Croston, age 39, a resident of Philippi, WV., passed from this life way too soon, at his residence on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was a cherished son, beloved husband, a devoted father to his children, a true brother to his siblings, and a great friend to many.
Nathan was born on December 16, 1986, at Alderson Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, a son to Charles "Cup" Croston, and the late Lovunia Jean Mayle.
He joined hands in marriage to the former Keshia Dawn Nicole Collins on December 22, 2019. Keshia is the daughter of Michael and Misty Collins also of Philippi, WV.
Nathan leaves behind: Sons; Hunter Croston and Briar Croston both of Philippi.
Daughters; Hannah Croston and Savannah Croston both of Philippi.
Brothers; Charles "Rookie" Croston, D.J. Croston, Greg Croston, and wife Bryan Hanifan Croston, and Steven Croston.
Sister; Crystal Tummino, and her husband Joe.
Nephews and Nieces; Michael Parsons, Dylan Parsons, Jocelyn Cumberledge, Garrett Parsons, Brooklyn Parsons, Mykenna Tummino, Waylon Barker, Easton Parsons, Aniyah Croston, Jaylynn Hanifan, Khia Hanifan, Kalob Croston, Tanner Sprouse, Natalya Collins, Ryot White Grow, Radien Mayle, Aaron Croston, Chole Croston, Emma Croston, Noah Gearhart, April Croston, Katlynn Croston, Iree Collins, Braxton Collins, and Travis Croston.
Nathan was a Christian by faith; he attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School where he formed lifelong friendships that would accompany him throughout his journey. His roots in Philippi ran deep, and he held a profound love for his hometown and its community. He was known for his unwavering support of his loved ones and his ability to brighten even the darkest days with his laughter and warmth. He loved being outdoors, deer and coon hunting, fishing, shooting guns, and riding four wheelers was his favorite hobbies. Most of his time he devoted to his family. His warmth, infectious smile, and generous spirit touched the lives of many, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends may gather at the Kittle Family Funeral 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 6pm until 8pm and again on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 5pm until 8pm, Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 9am until noon the funeral hour. Evangelist Ezik S. Norris will officiate, and burial will follow in the Mayle Collins Cemetery near Moatsville. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements. Though the world has lost a shining light, we take comfort in knowing that Nathan will forever be a source of inspiration and love for all whom she touched. Rest in peace, dear Nathan – you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
