He was predeceased by: his parents, Encil Beckett and Helen Showalter Beckett; his daughter Sarah Jane Long; and his siblings, Keith Beckett and Susan Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Beckett; his daughter Dr. Angela McKeen (Mark Flood); his grandchildren, Ben McKeen (Aurora Weigand), Anthony Beckett (Tessa Staubly), Emma McKeen, Annie McKeen (Julian Stealey) and Helena-Adrian Long; his son-in-law Marc Long; his brother-in-law John Bell; and his nieces, Cathie Sayles (Micah), Carrie Smith (Chad) and Nikki Loy (Jon).
