He was predeceased by: his parents, Huey Wayne and Enda J. Dye (Schrader); his siblings, Francis "Jim" Dye, William "Pete" Dye and Tommy Dye (Betty Fail Stetz); and his son-in-law John Hurst.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Carpenter-Dye; his children, William "Bill" Dye (Lisa), Jim Dye (Diana Dye) of Mannington, WV, Meaghan Bedel of Idaho City, ID and Taryn Mansera (Krystal Daubensper) of Idaho City, ID; his stepdaughter Sandi Hurst of Pine Grove, WV; his grandchildren, Amber Miller of Idaho City, ID, William Miller of Idaho City, ID, Cabela Steel of Idaho City, ID, Remmington Steel of Idaho City, ID and Cash Mansera of Idaho City, ID; his stepgrandson Justin Herrick of Pine Grove, WV; and his brother Robert "Bob" Dye (Linda) of Wadestown. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
