She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Postlethwait and Ruth Postlethwait (Spencer); her spouse Jerry Lee Mason; her son Jeffrey Mason; and her siblings, Virginia Barrick, Wayne Postlethwait, Naomi Blair and Betty Klug.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Mason (Tabatha) and Renee Massey (Jeff); her daughter-in-law Shelby Mason; her grandchildren, Hunter Mason (Carla), Bradley Mason (Anna), Jonathan Mason (Lexie), Spencer Mason (Alivia), Logan Massey (Rebecca), Amy Ueltschy (Lathe), Joseph Mason and Kristen Massey; and her great grandchildren, Madolyn, Kennedi, Charlotte, Jackson, Trace, Jaralynn, Titus, Wesley and Ellie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Palmer Funeral Home (Morgan St, Pine Grove, WV 26419, USA). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Karen's lifelong friend, Lameta Funari's granddaughter, who is battling cancer.
