It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Goontz of Pine Grove, West Virginia, who passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Goontz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant L. Goontz and Wilma B. Goontz (Wise); and his brothers, James "Jim" Goontz and Larry Goontz. He is survived by: his wife Charlet Goontz (Moore); his children, Rob Goontz (Renee Straight) of New Martinsville, WV, Bobby Anderson of Chatsworth, GA and Debbie Sasyn (Henry) of Vienna, WV; and his grandchildren, Natasha, Amanda, John, Joey, Billy, Hannah, Emma and Ian. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (226 State Hwy 20, Pine Grove, WV 26419). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Williams Funeral Home (12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove, WV 26419).
