He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ellis Wray and Alta Pearl Wray; and his siblings, Jan Wray, Mary Lou Peters, Doris Cruthers, Bob Wray and Randy Wray.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Wray (Carey); his stepsons, James Hesson and Justin Hesson; and his siblings, Ronald Wray of Gallipolis, Roy Wray of Gallipolis, Fred Wray of Florida, Judy Laudermilt of Racine and Karen Ellyson of Louisiana. He is also survived by 15 nephews and 11 nieces, along with 4 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Deal Funeral Home (1401 Kanawha St, Point Pleasant, WV 25550). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
