As we bid Jean Elizabeth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jean Elizabeth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. T. Mayes and Molly Mayes of Henderson, WV.; and her grandsons, Dennis and Doug Rodgers. She is survived by: her children, Elmore Lynn Casto (Janet) of Springfield, OH and Jeanie Brooks (Bob) of Point Pleasant, WV; her grandsons, Michael Casto (Sherry), Scott Casto and Daniel Rodgers; and her sister Eva Long of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and 4 step great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bellemead United Methodist Church (510 Burdette St, Point Pleasant, WV 25550). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
