He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Whalen and Anna Mae Whalen (Carter); his wife Ann Yvonne Whalen (Williams); his children, Michael "Chip" Whalen and Stacy Smith; his grandson Jeremy Mulford; and his sisters, Beatrice Tracy, Patricia De La Ossa and Mary Dack.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Mulford (Buck) of Cheshire, OH and William "Billy" Whalen of Point Pleasant; his children-in-law, Bryan R. Smith of Point Pleasant and Kimberly Whalen; and his grandchildren, Eric Mulford, Jessica Riker, Amanda Brown, Michael Smith, Cody Whalen and Trey Whalen. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home (2226 Jackson Ave, Point Pleasant, WV 25550).
