Sue Ann (Sebring) Smith Obituary

Sue Ann Smith (Susie), 80, left this life at 9:50 am on December 23, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones and is now serving her God in heaven. Susie was born in Sullivan Indiana on August 13, 1945 A.D. to the late George Sebring and Ethel Louise Trowbridge Sebring. She attended Shelburn grade school, and graduated from North Central High School in Farmersburg, Indiana. On January 30, 1965, she married Wendell Lee Smith of Farmersburg, Indiana.
Sue is survived by her husband, Wendell, three children, Wendell Lee (Christine) Smith II of Point Pleasant, WV, George Emory (Annette) Smith of Morgantown, WV, and Julie Ann Smith-Hay of Letart, WV, eleven grandkids, Tristen (Joy) Hay, Daniel Despres, Ashley Smith, Matthew Smith, Teagan Hamilton, George Smith Jr., Christopher Smith, Madison Smith-Holmes , Torianna Smith, Jordan Smith, and Bentlee Smith, and 5 great grandkids.
Susie was born again and was baptized on February 18, 1973, by Rev. Paul Jones at Indian Prairie Baptist Church in Carlise, Indiana. Susie faithfully served her Lord Jesus from that time forward. Susie was appointed a missionary on September 26, 1997, by the North American Mission Board of The Southern Baptist Convention.
Service will be held Friday, 11:00 AM December 26, 2025, at New Beginnings Church on Sandhill Road, Point Pleasant. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service. Pastor Chuck Stansberry will be officiating. Deal Funeral home will be serving the family.
Susie was loved deeply and will be missed greatly.
