He is survived by: his brother Doug Hager (Shirley); his children, Barb (John Cantrell Jr.), Connie King, Ann (John Buffington), Kelly (Missy Hager) and Howardy Dean (Ashley Hager); his grandchildren, Johnny Cantrell, Tiffany Gard (Brian), Eddie Cantrell, Narvel King Jr. (Angela), Kevin King (Angela), Shana Runion (Robby), Danielle Green (Charlie), Jonathon Buffington (Faith), Nick Hager (Katlyn), Jillian Hager, Kendall Hager, Caleb Hager, Zachary Stephens (Lindsey), Hailey Stephens and Josh Hager (Leanna); and his friends, Beacher and Judy Adkins. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Handley Funeral Home- Danville (439 Phipps Ave, Danville, WV 25053). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Handley Funeral Home- Danville Starts (439 Phipps Ave, Danville, WV 25053). A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at the Drawdy Cemetery.
