With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anderson Lafayette Barnette of Princeton, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2025 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh P. Barnette and Mabel Lucy Barnette; his former wife Alice Barnette; and his siblings, Carter, Hugh Pat Jr., Paul, Mabel K., Maomi, Emma and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Bowyer Barnette; his children, Donald Barnette and Mary K; his stepchildren, Pam (Joey) and Duane; his daughter-in-law Linda; his brothers, John Barnette (Carolyn) and David Barnette (Georgia) of Bluefield; and his stepsiblings, Danny Barnette of Princeton, Kim Tignor (Dale) and Elizabeth Barnette of Princeton. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
