We announce the death of Carol Ann Simpson Murphy of Princeton, West Virginia, who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 79. Carol Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Rachel Brock Simpson; her husband Roy H. Murphy; and her siblings, Thelma Brock, Homer Simpson, Irene Johnson, Robert Simpson, Naomi "Jib" Rife, Mildred Price, Nina Nantz and Rachel Faye Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Chenard of Peterstown, WV and Tommy Murphy (Tonya) of Princeton, WV; her granddaughter Courtney Akers (Aaron); and her great grandchildren, Avery and Ava Akers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
