He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Lewis Goad and Sadie Mullins Goad; and his brother-in-law Shawn Poore. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Jackson Goad of Princeton; his children, James Edward Goad of Princeton, Danny Ray Goad, Jr. of Princeton, David Ray Goad (Summer) of Princeton and Sherry Clemons (Kenny Nelson) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Autum Clemons (Tyler Mills), Faith Clemons (Austin Ellison), William C. Clemons, Lyndsey Goad, Evelyn Goad and Lucas Goad; his great grandchildren, Dean Clemons, Paysleigh Mills, Hayes Ellison and Oliver Ellison; and his sisters, Angel Poore of Princeton, Ruby Ann Tiller (Gerald) of Ballard, WV and Susan O'Donnell (Stacy) of Nemours, WV. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home (1507 N Walker St, Princeton, WV 24740). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (3410 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
