He is survived by: his children, Dan Smith (Anita), Melinda Short (Robert East), Steve Smith (Toni) and Jennifer Farley (Joe); his grandchildren, Seth Short (Miranda), Pat Short (Jess), Kaleb Short (Heather), Shayna Smith, Brandon Smith (Katie), Cody Walters, Cory Walters (Deanna), Steven Smith (Kalynn), Kassie Blaess (Isaac), Trevor Farley (Emily), Abbi Farley and Clayton Smith (Kaylie); his siblings, Joe Smith (Nancy), Donnie Smith, Roger Smith (Sharon), Greg Smith, Paul Smith, Burl Smith and Michael Smith; Steve Short. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wellman Funeral Home-Circleville (1455 N Court St, Circleville, OH 43113). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the Beckett Cemetery.
