He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lester Coomes and Freda Woody Coomes of Lashmeet; his wife Jennifer Howard Coomes; his children, Stephen Coomes (Alli) of Princeton and Kaitlin Coomes of Charleston; his grandsons, Dante, Bryson and Blaze Coomes; his siblings, Melody Ponce of Princeton, Lori Christian (David) of Princeton and Jim Coomes (Shannon) of Lashmeet; and his mother-in-law Jeanette Asbury of Bluefield, VA.. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
