She was predeceased by: her parents, Dacle Akers and Edna Marie Howard Akers; her husband Dewey R. Monk; her daughter Charleen Dianne Monk; and her siblings, Sammy Akers and Wynoaka Baumgardner.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheri Lynn Lambert (Johnny) of Bluefield; her sister Betty J. Webb of Bluefield; her grandson Dustin Williams of Philadelphia, PA.; her close friend Jack Ratliff (J. C.) of Prince George, VA; and her pet Sarah Lee.
