He was predeceased by: his parents, Early Edward Neal and Elinor Katherine Dunn Neal; his son Jonathan Edward Neal; his siblings, Mildred Hudgins (Millie), William Neal (Willie) and Melvin Neal; and his wife Carolyn Turpin Neal.
He is survived by: his son John David Neal; his granddaughter Katelyn Elizabeth Neal of Princeton; his sister Tommie Lou Meadows of Wytheville, VA; and his grandsons, Liam and Jesse.
