She was predeceased by: her parents, Corles Cowden and Emma Lou Chambers Cowden; her former husband Jabie Akers; her sons, Beauford Akers and Marvin Akers; and her siblings, Claudia Edwards, Wilburn Cowden of Georgia Siner, C. L, Thompson and Sterling Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Salvatore Accettullo; her daughter Connie Hernandez; and her niece Malinda Edwards (Whitey). She is also survived by two step-daughters; four step-sons; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Directory (654 Athens Rd, Princeton, WV 24740). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the Elgood Cemetery.
