She was predeceased by: her father John Christian Jr.; and her son Justin Barker. She is survived by: her brothers, John "Chuck" Christian and Richard "Dickie" Christian; her husband Carl W. Barker; her daughter Caity Barker-MacVean (Carl) of Wytheville, VA; her siblings, JoAnn Ayers of Tazewell, VA, Iris Kroll (David) of Princeton and Phillip Christian (Sherria) of Princeton, WV; and her mother-in-law Phyllis Barker of Princeton, WV. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
