He is survived by: his wife Betty Dawson of Princeton; his daughters, Kristy Johnson (Brent) of Hillsville, VA and Amanda Dawson of Princeton; his grandchildren, Bethanie Johnson, Chelsea Johnson, Carmen Johnson, Sahvannah Thompson and Shayleigh Thompson; his great grandchildren, Colin Johnson and Taylan Johnson; and his siblings, Roy Dawson, Judy Laxton, Wanda Bailey, Mary Crabtree, Charlotte Blankenship and Tina Burguess. He is also survived by siblings, nieces and nephews.
