He was predeceased by: his parents, George Andrew Sagety, Jr. and Frances Sink Sagety; his son David Matthew Sagady; and the parents of child, George Andrew Sagety Jr. and Frances Sink Sagety.
He is survived by: his wife Betsy Kersey Sagady; his children, Frances Kathryn "Kati" Hatfield (Matthew) of Princeton, WV, Ronald S. Sagady, Jr. (Christi) of Bluefield, VA, James Sagady (Ivy) of Pipestem, WV and Erin Sagady of Princeton, WV; his sister Sharon Sagety of Welch, WV; his grandchildren, Ben Kastner, Leah Whittaker, Trent Sagady, Nick Kastner, Cianna Carter, Owen Sagady, Vera Reed-Sagady, Taryn Hatfield and Nora Reed-Sagady; and his close friend Buddy French.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel (1231 W Cumberland Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McDowell County Humane Society.
