With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sarah Ball of Princeton, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 23, 2025 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bocie Taft Barbour and Mary Elizabeth Pennington Barbour; her husband Howard Ball; and her siblings, Judith Hall and John Barbour.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Melcher (Daniel) of Graysville, AL, Katrina Tickle (Benjamin) of Princeton and Daniel Akers (Tammy) of Princeton; her grandchildren, Aaron Akers (Justine), Joshua Powell, Austin Mathena, Haley Wellman (Jered), Jacob Akers, Morgan Gross (Zach) and Caleb Akers; her great grandchildren, Tremonti, Harmonie, Gabriel, Aria and Tucker; the father of her children Otis Akers of Vance, AL; her sister Juanita Davis of Princeton; her sister-in-law Debra Barbour; and her friend Shirley Miller. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
