He was predeceased by: his parents, Ganes Hicks and Hassie Lewis Hicks; his son Wayne E. Hicks, II; and his sister Cheryl Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Jane Cornett Hicks; his daughter-in-law Tisha Jones Hicks; his sister Sue Hicks; and his grandsons, Alexander Wayne Hicks and Zachary Edward Hicks.
