He was predeceased by: his parents, William Albert Shamblin and Sarah Lyons Shamblin; his wife Mary Dobbins Shamblin; his sons, Darrell and Rocky Shamblin; and his siblings, Virgil, Perry, Delmar, Okey, Roscoe Shamblin, Ruby Jamison, Sylvia Isaacs and Jessie Thompson.
He is survived by: his sons, Herschel Shamblin, Michael Shamblin and John Shamblin; and his sisters, Clarice Parsons and Shirley King. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
