He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Vernon and Delores Virginia Winnings Rudd; and his siblings, James Ray Rudd, Carolyn Rose Rudd, Evelyn Springs, Janice Ewers, Doris Young, Leah Radcliffe, Clifford Samuel Rudd, Roy David Rudd, Martha Stevens and Becky Schaffer.
He is survived by: his significant other Hattie Madeline; his grandchildren, Jason (Ashley), Austin, Riley, Chase and Trent; his siblings, Vernon Rudd (Geri), Veronica Arnold (Bruce), Johnny Rudd (Lucinda), Marty Rudd (Gail), Mike Rudd (Robin) and Mary Rudd Cogar; his brothers-in-law, Bob Ewers, Chuck Stevens, Bill Schaffer and Conrad Boggs (Sue); and his pet Bentley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sewell Valley Baptist Church (1444 James River and Kanawha Turnpike Twp, Rainelle, WV 25962). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Rainelle Christian Academy (RCA), where Paul and Hattie devoted their time in the early beginnings of RCA by helping with the building construction, caretaker of the soccer field, and volunteering with school lunches, sports concession stands, field trips and anything the children needed to receive a Christian education and learn about Jesus.
