She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew McClung and Floda McClung (Neff); her husband Jospeh Charles "Slim" Smith; her children, Joe, Jerry, Mike, Tony and Evelyn Marie Best; and her siblings, Fred, Renick McClung, Ruby Harris and Rexie Hamilton.
She is survived by: her children, Clarence "Pete" Lee Smith (Sue) of Rainelle, Mark Neville Smith (Thelma) of Durbin and Deborah Hicks of Dixie. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery (16155 Midland Trail W, Clintonville, WV 24931).
