He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Hanson and Mildred Hanson; his wife Gloria; his son Duane; his grandson Shannon; his sister Margaret; his brother-in-law Chuck Baker; and his brother Clarence.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Carter of Renick, Vicki Bauwens of Chesterfield, VA, Jeanine Angus (Evin) of Renick, Robert Wood of Chesterfield, VA, Dierdre Blanto (Skip) of Louisa, VA and Nick Carter of Richmond, VA; and his sisters, Deborah McGurty and Georgia Treadway. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
