She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Samples and Geneva Elmore Samples; and her husband James Lucas. She is survived by: her children, James "JC" Lucas (Terrie) of Virginia and Kelly Jenkins (Kevin) of Pratt; her siblings, Tammy Smith of Aiken and Rick Samples of Beckley; and her grandchildren, Samantha, Melissa and Katelynn Lucas.
