He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ballenger and Robert Ballenger; his wife Mae Love Ballenger; his son Michael Allen Ballenger; and his siblings, Burwell "Buddy" Ballenger, Norman Ballenger and Joan McDaniel.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald L. Ballenger II (Dawn) and Gregory S. Ballenger (Shannon); his grandchildren, Victoria (Zach), Bailey (Antoine), Coryn (Brandon) and Cameron; and his great grandchildren, Luc and Arya. He is also survived by many family members, friends, former coworkers.
