Jody Penwell Obituary

We announce the death of Jody Penwell of Ranson, West Virginia, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 61. Jody will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Penwell and JoAnn Penwell; her brothers, Edward Penwell (Bucky) and Michael Penwell (Mikey); and her nephew Zachery Penwell.

She is survived by: her children, Amber Hockman (Joe) of Martinsburg and Jeremy Penwell of Kearneysville; her grandchildren, Rayanna, Mason, Ariyah and Ava; her sisters-in-law, Schelley Penwell and Ronda Penwell; and her aunt Brenda Smith (Glenn) of Troutman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and all her furry babies.
