He is survived by: his sister Olivia "Doll" Haley (Gary Stanley) of Odenton, Maryland; his daughter Kimberly Sims; his son-in-law Randy Sims of Front Royal, Virginia; his son Andrew Upwright; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Middleton of Middleway; and his granddaughter Lauren Sims. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
