With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary S. Baker of Reynoldsville, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Baker and Georgia Baker (Elbon); and his sister Vicki Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ann Baker (Gola); his daughters, Meredith L. Baker of Reynoldsville and Amy A. Matheny (Glenn) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his grandchildren, Peyton M. Baker (Olivia) of Reynoldsville and Maliyah D. Cottingham (Joshua Swann) of Reynoldsville; and his great grandchildren, Berkley Jo Summers and Raegan Everly Baker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
