With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Chrystal Lynn (Simpson) Popluhar of Ridgeley, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2025 at the age of 53. Though Chrystal may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Chrystal touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Stephen "Robert" Popluhar; and her grandmother Goldie Levitas. She is survived by: her parents, Leonard "Ted" Simpson and Linda Simpson (Showalter); her sons, Cody Popluhar and Braiden Popluhar (Lauran Minerd); her grandsons, Zaiden and Mason Popluhar; and her brothers, Teddy, Brian (Shelly) and Kevin Simpson (Tracy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
