She was predeceased by : her parents, Flavious McClain and Rulina Stalnaker McClain; her husband Oda DeWees; her son Darrell DeWees; and her siblings, Claud, Chester, Ernest, Orin, Jerry, Marlin, Elman McClain, Eva Clark, Ivy Tolley, Dorothy Harpold and Alice McClain.

She is survived by : her children, Rex DeWees (Jackie) of Ripley, Bruce DeWees (Lisa) of Gay, Shirley Hartley of Ripley, Kathy Casto (Bill) of Statts Mill and Betsy Sheets (Ronnie) of Ripley; her sister Lorene Lupardus (Erman); and her grandchildren, Blinda McCroskey, Howard Hartley (Cathy), Travis Casto, Sara Ballengee, Cristy Fernatt (Mike), Misty White (Kevin), Andrew Sheets (Richelle), Robert DeWees and Ben DeWees (Lindsay). She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
