With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim Hunter of Ripley, West Virginia, who passed away on September 10, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Hunter and Helen Hunter of Odaville; his son Robert Mark; Jeanne Staats Hunter and Colby Kyer.
He is survived by: his children, Russ Hunter (Nikki), Margaret Nester, Luke Hunter (Mitsy) and Rebecca Duke (Mike); his grandchildren, Chris Hunter, Michael Hunter, Julia Hunter, Tori Nester, Rose Cooper, Sarah Kyer, Ryan Hunter, Amanda Hollimann, Abbie, Baagason and Mack Duke; and his great grandchildren, Lilli, Zanya, Isaac, Ophelia, Finn, Clara, Hadley, Rylan and Lacey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Jackson General Hospital Oncology Center or the Jackson County Public Library.
