She was predeceased by : her parents, Emmett E. Boggess and Mary Boggess of Sissonville; her husband Doyal "Pip" Mairs; her siblings, Emmett "Junior" (Dorthy Boggess) of Kentucky, Bobby (Ellen "Sissy" Boggess) of Midway and Dolores Parrish of Charleston; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Hemmings and Clinton Goodwin.

She is survived by : her sisters, Teresa Goodwin of Sissonville, Sherry (Henry Daniel) of Kentucky and Wanda Hemmings of North Carolina; her daughters, Vicky Carnes (Milton Carnes Jr.) of Ripley and Pamela Boggess of North Carolina; her stepson Doyal Whitt (Cris) of Arthurdale; her grandsons, Cameron Carpenter, Colton Carnes (Hanna Moffatt) and Michael Whitt; and her pets, Rico and Tiny. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
