He was predeceased by : his parents, Luther Buckner and Malba Buckner. He is survived by : his son Patrick; his daughter-in-law Sharon Buckner of Sand Fork, WV; his daughter Karla; his son-in-law Jerry Tanner of Nebo, WV; his daughter Brenda; and his son-in-law Dana Bourne of Ravenswood, WV.. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters.
