He is survived by: his wife Catherine Lantz Godfrey; his children, Linda (Johnny Gum) of Belington, Melinda (Bobby Kelley) of Buckhannon, Angela (Neal Posey) of Weston, Pete Hayes of Webster County, Shelby Godfrey (Keithia Helmick) of Ireland and Darius "Buzz" (Sabrina Godfrey) of French Creek; his grandchildren, Christopher Eddy, Makayla Hayes, Devin Hayes, Connor Helmick, Brantley, Emmit and Kinston Godfrey; his great grandchild Kaia Gum; and his sister Velma Sue (Dave Roby) of Adrian.
