He was predeceased by: his grandfather Everette Leslie Chafin. He is survived by: his mother Joanne Chafin; his wife Sarah Ervin; his daughter Alexis Nickell; his stepdaughter Anabelle Linares; his brothers, Kenneth Ervin, III of Rock and Patrick Ervin of Beckley; his grandmother Ann D. Chafin; his aunts, Elizabeth Chafin and Terri Jackson; and his cousins, Jeremiah Jensen and Danny Jensen.
