He is survived by: his wife Marian Williams Matthews; his children, Donna Pritt (Gary) of Rock, Letha Jenkins (Chris) of Rock, Angela Sparks (Danny) of Lashmeet, Crystal Mansfield (Tim Patrick) of Lashmeet, Melinda McMillion (Kevin) of Matoaka and David Matthews (Kristie) of Lashmeet; his grandchildren, Gary Lee Pritt (Cayley), Zachary Pritt, Brittany Rife, Devon Jenkins, Ashleigh Hayes (Jake), Emilee Burley (Devyn), Nevaeh Matthews, Kayleigh Matthews, Skylar Matthews and Samantha Nichols (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Melony Blankenship, Sophia Pritt, Skylar Pritt, Isabella Pritt, Aiden Pritt, Chloe Pritt, Kayden Pritt, Kenslee Rife, Adalynn Rife, Creanna Burley and Hayden Nichols; and his siblings, Major Matthews (Becky) of Princeton, Jessie Matthews of Cabin Creek, Everette Martin (Lola) of Ohio, Beulah Goode (Eddie Vance) of Cabin Creek and Macie Treadway (Tom) of Welch.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home (1612 Honaker Ave, Princeton, WV 24740). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
