We announce the death of Patsy Wimmer of Rock, West Virginia, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Patsy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Thompson and Irene Catron Thompson; her husband Okel Wimmer Sr. (Mac); her daughters, Betty Jennings (Darrell) and Lynn Marie; and her siblings, Margaret Sheppard, Shirley Cox, Glen Thompson, Jimmy Thompson and Gary Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Okel Wimmer Jr. (Mae), William Wimmer (Teresa) and Patsy Stroupe (Ronald); her siblings, Sara Reed, Charles Thompson (Peggy), Frank Thompson and J. W. Thompson; and her pets, Tobby and Little. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home (1612 Honaker Ave, Princeton, WV 24740). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
