It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Sparks of Rock, West Virginia, born in Frederick, Maryland, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Calvin Shubert Giffin and Mary Jane Swope Giffin; and her husband Vernon "Eddie" Sparks. She is survived by : her children, Vernon Sparks, Jr. of Matoaka, Bobby Sparks of Louisville, KY, Grace Bailey (Kenneth) of Princeton and Sandra Sparks of Roanoke, VA; her sisters, Norma Sauers of Rock, Nancy Sparks of Rock and Connie of Florida; and her grandchildren, Kenny Bailey, Grant Bailey, Ashley Sparks, Shantay Sparks and Eddie Sparks. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home (1612 Honaker Ave, Princeton, WV 24740). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
