He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Humphrey and Nora Williams Humphrey Covey; his wife Garnet Humphrey; his daughter Patricia Davis; and his son-in-law Ike Davis.
He is survived by: his daughter Shirlene Jane Westrope (Walt); his grandson Andre Buck (Rebecca) of Owings, MD; his great grandchildren, Levi Buck and Andrew Buck; and his siblings, Annabelle Tolliver, Bill Humphrey, Steve Humphrey, David Humphrey, Sharon Hatfield and Phyllis McClung.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rich Creek Baptist Church in Spanishburg or to Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
