She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanford Beckner and Mae Keaton Beckner; her husband Roy Vanover; and her siblings, Raymond Stanley, Douglas Beckner and Lucy Edwards.

She is survived by: her close friend Ronnie Mines; her daughters, Vicki Ortiz (Robert) of Premier, Sheila Fields (John) of Premier and Kimberly Bailey (Steve) of Princeton; her siblings, Marie Williams (Butch) of North Carolina, Shirley Brabson of Pennsylvania, Robert Beckner (Dollie) of Sandy Huff and Tommy Beckner (Alice) of North Carolina; and her cousins, Pete Keaton (Imogene) of Princeton, Kathy Keaton Dotson (Michael) of Jonesborough, TN and Sophia Wilkins. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW Post 1144 in Iaeger, in honor of all her military family.
