We are sad to announce that, on March 23, 2026, at the age of 89, Betty Jean Heavener of Romney, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Homan McKee, Sr. and Vergie Gladys McKee (Hoke); her husband Jack Allen Heavener; and her brother Chester McKee. She is survived by: her children, Steven Allen Heavener of Romney, Mark Lee Heavener of Romney, Michael Edward Heavener (Jayne Anne) of Romney, Scott Mitchell Heavener (Rebekah) of Romney and Sue Heavener Davis (Kevin) of Yellow Spring; her grandchildren, Leslie Dawn Rutley, Jacque Heavener Flanagan (Patrick), Amanda Renee King, Ashley Lauren Heavener, Matthew Ryan Davis (Jessica), Brooke Taylor Davis, Cole Forrest Davis (Tori), Aimee Lynn Fuller (Dillon), Jackson Blue Cookman (Samantha) and Samuel Eugene Cookman (Ondrea); and her brother Edgar Homan McKee, Jr.. She is also survived by great grandchildren, (1) great-great grandson.
