In loving memory of Edward W. Lease of Romney, West Virginia, who departed this world on June 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Edward leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Lease and Myrtle I. Lease (Wagoner); his wives, Bernice Lease (Puffinburger) and Shirley Puffinburger Lease; and his siblings, Vernon Lease, Dorothy Lease and Leona Lease.
He is survived by: his children, Edward A. Lease (Teresa), Victoria Shipley (Tim) and Penny Clayborn (Dave); his stepdaughter Linda Densmore (Bill); and his siblings, Ernest Lease, Hazel Coker, Maxine Caneco, Shirley Twigg, Barbara Presley and Anna Beverlin. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great granddaughters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Upchurch Funeral Homes- Fort Ashby (10182 Frankfort Hwy, Fort Ashby, WV 26719). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
