He was predeceased by: his parents, Elver Benson Pyles and Cora Elizabeth Pyles (Wigner); his daughter Linda Robin Stammer; his grandson James Gordon Stammer; and his siblings, Joe Benson Pyles and Loretta Mae Kidwell.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Annette Pyles (Allen) of Romney; his son Joe Benson Pyles (Deborah) of Georgetown, DE; his brother Jay Carroll Pyles (Margot) of Locust Grove, VA; and his grandson John Wayne Stammer of Scottsville, VA. He is also survived by great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (320 Jersey Mountain Rd, Romney, WV 26757).
